What is WUKA Talks?

WUKA Talks is an education-led workshop programme designed to help girls and their families understand periods, hormones and growing bodies with confidence and care.

Led by trained educators, WUKA Talks creates a safe, age-appropriate space where young people can learn what is happening in their bodies, ask questions without embarrassment, and feel prepared rather than anxious about puberty and menstruation.

We combine science, real-life understanding, and practical tools to ensure that no girl feels confused, ashamed, or alone when it comes to her period.

The idea behind WUKA Talks

At WUKA, we believe period education is not just about biology. It is about confidence, well-being and feeling supported at a crucial stage of growing up.

WUKA Talks exists to:

Normalise conversations around periods and hormones

Help girls build body confidence and literacy from an early age

Support parents to have calm and informed conversations

Ensure girls know when something is normal and when to ask for help

Our goal is simple: no girl should feel scared or unprepared before she starts her period.
